Walking Tour of the Bethpage Cemetery on Quaker Meeting House Road - Sunday November 12th, 2017, 2-3:30PM

Join Farmingdale Village Historian Serena Brochu, the Farmingdale Village Cultural Arts Committee & the Farmingdale Bethpage Historical Society for a Walking Tour of the Bethpage Cemetery on Quaker Meeting House Road - Sunday November 12th, 2-3:30pm. Visit with some of Farmingdale’s permanent residents at various gravesites at the Bethpage Cemetery on Quaker Meeting House Road, with a discussion about the “residents”.  Parking is available across the street at the main entrance of Bethpage State Park Golf Course, 99 Quaker Meeting House Rd, or on Puritan Lane. Be extremely careful crossing Quaker Meeting House Road, & walking to the cemetery. Meet at the cemetery shed (white shed with green trim). Highly recommended to wear sturdy walking shoes (no flip-flops, crocs, open-toed shoes) as the ground is very uneven and remnants of stones, stumps, etc. are all around & long pants (grass is not entirely mowed; hopefully less buggy now that it is fall). Note the grounds are not wheelchair accessible.  Registration is limited to 25 attendees for this walking tour, email arodenburg@farmingdalevillage.com to request to attend, a confirmation email will be provided.  Rain date is Sunday 12/3.  Additional walking tour dates may be scheduled once the maximum number of attendees is reached.
